Wau-Ke-Na North Tract

Easy:

Rating: 1 out of 5.

Length: 1 mi. (about 35 min. out and back)

Surface:  Dirt — no obstacles

Terrain: Mostly flat (68 ft. of gain /
average grade of 2%, and 10% max.)
Very flat if you don’t go to the beach

Markers: clearly marked

Dogs allowed? leashed

Trailhead: 1970 70th St. (Lakeshore Dr.)

Maps: printable / Hiking Project

Description: Park in the lot and follow the trail to the overlook or the beach. It’s not marked, but there’s no trouble following the path. The overlook has a couple of benches. There’s also a beach access; due of erosion it’s a bit tricky to climb down to. This is a beautiful little park with lots of deer.

Hard packed snow today. No problems. Didn’t see any deer, like I usually do.
