Friday, 6 February 2026, 10:30 am @ the Crow’s Nest Trail
On Wear Red Day, people across the country wear a red dress, shirt, tie, or the Red Dress Pin. The aim is to issue a wake-up call about the risk of heart disease, the #1 killer of women.
Please put on something red and meet us in the Mount Baldhead parking lot on Park Street in Saugatuck at 10:30 AM for a hike.
The Crow’s Nest Trail is a two-mile loop on public land in Tallmadge Woods, next to the Ox-Bow School. We’ll walk to the end of Park Street, turn left, and go up a short hill to the trailhead. Then we’ll walk along dunes that gradually climb to the Crow’s Nest, where there is a breathtaking view of the Ox-Bow Lagoon and Lake Michigan. On the way back, we may follow a ridge above the river.
The trail gets steep at several points. Be prepared for cold temperatures and icy conditions – consider spikes/Yaktrax and trekking poles.
