Let’s meet at 2:00 pm in the Hemlock Crossing parking lot at 8115 West Olive Road in West Olive, nine miles north of Holland. I don’t remember it being very hilly, but I always bring my poles. Dress appropriately for mud and whatever the temperature will be.
Fat Tuesday is the day before Ash Wednesday, the start of the Christian season of Lent. In the old days, it was a day when Christians would use up all the fats in their home in preparation for fasting during the season of Lent.
