25 July 2025, 9:30 AM, @ Dairy Daze
This will be a SIX-MILE hike. On Friday, July 25, at 9:30 AM, let’s meet at Dairy Daze at 6471 Blue Star Highway. We’ll walk north on the Blue Star and Beeline Trails, take a break, and walk back. It should take a little less than three hours, depending on our pace and how long we stop. After that, you are encouraged to stay for lunch.
The Blue Star and Beeline are wide, paved trails that we will share with cyclists. Part of the trail parallels busy streets, but there is also a lovely section through the woods.
Bring water and a snack. If you have a lightweight backpack chair, you may be glad to have that, too.
This annual long hike is named for a pilgrimage route across Spain called the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James), and July 25 is St. James’ Day. Chris has walked two different Caminos, and he’ll be happy to share stories while we hike.
