On Thursday, October 24 nearly FORTY people hiked at “the airport property” in Saugatuck Township. Jon Vanderbeek of Riverwood Council talked about native trees and pointed out old-growth areas. Helen Baldwin, chair the City of Saugatuck’s Parks & Public Works Committee, talked about what the Outdoor Discovery Center is doing on the property. Chris Clark gave a summary of the property’s history.
We met in the parking lot at 3401 63rd Street at 12:30 pm.
